Ethiopia holds a special place in my heart. What began as a single trip to share communication strategies has grown into a continuing partnership with teachers, families, and professionals who are changing what’s possible for children with communication challenges.

Meet Karen
Helping children with communication challenges has been at the heart of my work for more than 30 years. As a Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Autism Specialist, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children with autism other developmental differences, and walking alongside the families and professionals who support them.
My passion extends beyond the therapy room. I love helping parents, caregivers, and professionals feel confident using practical strategies that support a child’s communication and development. That passion has taken me from schools and clinics across the United States to Ethiopia, where I’ve provided training and resources to schools, parents, teachers, and professionals.
I believe that when we equip the people who know and care for a child best, we can make a lasting difference.
